Backdating the Happy Days Challenge I missed.
Loblaws
and Independent started to bake T and T Supermarket style "Asian"
buns several months ago. I'm so happy
that, on May 3, my mum bought some custard buns for everyone to try.
Well, if you like "Asian" bread, you need to go to Toronto or Vancouver. Hong Kong style bakeries, Korean style bakeries and Japanese style bakeries have better "Asian" bread.
Ask anyone used to teach English or used to live in Hong Kong, Korea or Japan, they will be able to tell you the differences. T and T Supermarket makes its own but the taste and texture ...

time please try bread from an Asian bakery in Chinatown, Korean town or
Japanese shopping mall. You may be
shocked how good the products are.
Oh,
one Chinese bakery in Honolulu, Hawaii you need not to try. My mum is very diplomatic about how food
tastes. She never gives bad review about
food and restaurant. This Honolulu
bakery and restaurant received my mum's first thumbs-down review. But don't you worry. I just did a Google search for its name and
learned that it closed down on March 15, 2013.
My mum's reaction? "It
closed down must be because the food tastes awful."
Well,
according to the internet, Ruby Restaurant & Bakery was a famous Chinese
bakery and restaurant in Honolulu. It
was the place to go from tons of Japanese online reviews. One of my best Japanese friends read all the
reviews and highly recommended this place to us before we went for our trip to
Hawaii.
Did
we just go to Ruby Restaurant & Bakery when the chef was on holiday?
